Allistaire October joins Fourge as COO
Fourge welcomes Allistaire October who joins us on the 9th of June 2008 as COO.
Allistaire has worked in various industries and has a wealth of IT and Business knowledge having consulted locally and in London for a number of years. Allistaire's focus areas will be on Process and Project management, Client Account management and Business and IT Analysis and Strategy.
Allistaire brings a wealth of experience and energy and we are really excited to have him on board!
Fourge moves to M5 Business Park w.e.f: 1 April 2008
On 1 April 2008 Fourge moves to the M5 Business Park. This is a great place to be! It’s more central and allows easy access to the N1 and N2 and the City as well as the Northern and Southern Suburbs. We have great views and room for expansion.

Collin Ramukhubathi joins Fourge as a Director
Fourge welcomes Collin Ramukhubathi who joins us in March as a Director. Collin is also a director of Portland and he brings proven business expertise to our fold.
Collin's primary focus areas will include Business Strategy and Client Relationship Management.
We are building a great team and we really look forward to the value that Collin will add.
New client in Pam Golding Properties
In March 2006, Pam Golding Properties, South Africa 's largest independent real estate group, approached Fourge for development services. This initial project involves development services for their newspaper advert submission system. Currently, the submission of adverts to newspaper supplements is an intensive manual process that costs Pam Golding Properties in terms of man hours and effort. The implementation of this system will streamline the current process and facilitate the submission of adverts down to the branch level.
Technologies used in this project include Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft ASP.NET with Visual Basic .NET.
In December 2005, Cape Investment Properties (CIP) launched Gull Heights , its first holiday home, fractional ownership investment opportunity. Situated in Mossel Bay along the beautiful Cape Garden Route , it is a perfect holiday destination. Within 3 months, 80% of the units have been sold.
Fourge, the software development partner of CIP, put the systems in place to allow the public investor to reserve unit portions via the internet. This has played an important role in this aspect of CIP's business.

Global Property Marketing and Management Solutions (GPMMS) offers investors and brokers the advantage of joining a property investment network giving them pre-launch access to investment opportunities. In March 2005, Fourge began with the development of a CRM solution that would form the back office of this investor network. At the beginning of December 2006 version 2.7 of the GPMMS Broker CRM system was launched. It allows Brokerages and Brokers to manage their investor clients and keep them updated, via email and SMS, on the latest investment opportunities.
This CRM solution has been developed using the Fourge CRM data model as a foundation together with Microsoft .NET technology.
Imagination - breaking technology borders
Imagination is a South African startup company that provides low-cost financial products and services such as life insurance and banking to people who normally cannot afford or access those services. To support its low-cost, high-volume business model and plans for rapid growth, the company decided to avoid the complex and expensive technologies often found in financial services companies. Instead it partnered with Fourge, a Microsoft® Certified Partner, to implement an IT system using Microsoft SQL Server® 2005, BizTalk® Server 2004, and Visual Studio® Team System. The technology is helping Imagination achieve its business goal of tapping into a huge potential market while keeping its IT infrastructure scalable, flexible, and cost-effective.
